On October 20th, 2009, EasyDialer is updated to 2.7. It supports extension delimiter 'x', which is used by Outlook. See FAQs for help.

On October 8th, 2009, EasyDialer is updated to 2.5. Destination number is displayed at top of phone screen. And some bug fixes. There won't be much release before a major upgrade version 3.0, which will be re-designed and support more powerful Smart Dial rules, like free evenings/weekends.

v2.7 - October 20th, 2009.

  • Support extension delimiter 'x', which is used by Outlook.
  • Fix bug in dialing extension number.
  • Work around bug in call log replacement on devices with OS 5.0. However call log is not replaced correctly due to OS 5.0 API fault.

v2.6 - October 10th, 2009.

  • Remove implicit smart-dial rule "Don't dial with calling card if number is less than 7 digits". The rule is added since v2.4.
  • Fix bug that only the first calling card can be edited or deleted.

v2.5 - October 7th, 2009.

  • Show destination number on top of the phone screen when connected.
  • Load Calling card settings after successful activation.
  • Support space key to input '@' and '.' in email field on activation screen.
  • Fix bug that on some BlackBerry OS, changes in rules and calling cards need reboot to take effect.
  • Fix bug that if a number in address book doesn't have country code, when it's dialed, the dialer doesn't dial country code after service call is connected.
  • Fix bug that auto-answer call back call doesn't work with some BlackBerry OS.

v2.4 - July 21st, 2009.

  • Lower speaker volume when dialing DTMF tones. But it won't lower volume of Bluetooth headset.
  • Don't dial number less than 7 digits with calling card.

v2.3 - May 20th, 2009.

  • For callback service, allows the outgoing call number different from the callback number. e.g. call service number 1111111, then callback call is from 2222222.
  • Bug fix in activation.

v2.2 - May 14th, 2009.

  • Prompts user to allow permissions required by EasyDialer. Without the permission, EasyDialer throws "ControlledAccessException" when applying Smart Dial.

v2.1 - May 12th, 2009.

  • Fix bugs found in 2.0
  • Support dialing conference call code -- Dial From Clipboard.
  • Requires BlackBerry OS 4.2.1 and later. OS 4.1 is not supported due to lack of download.

v2.0 - May 7th, 2009.

  • Support Smart Dial -- EasyDialer interprets any outgoing calls based on configurable rules. Now you can dial any number, any where, in any way. Menu click is not required, but kept as an alternative.
  • Small call log handling bug fix.
  • Requires BlackBerry OS 4.2.1 and later. OS 4.1 is not supported due to lack of download.
